Going to lake on period with no tampon?

im going to the lake and im on my period and i cant use tampons they hurt........ its my first day of my period (not my first period!) and it usually doesnt bleed that much on the first day. so i was going to just wear a poise ultra thin to catch the small amount of blood. so do u think its bad if im going to lake on period without tampon????? REMEMBER: it doesnt bleed that much on the first day!!!
