Is it possible to offer feedback on the performance of military funeral honors?

My great uncle, a Navy veteran, recently passed away. At his funeral services, there was a proper Navy gentleman and another individual present to perform Taps, etc. Problem is, the "other guy" had no idea what he was doing. He screwed up folding the flag four times -- something I always envisioned to be a well rehearsed and practiced procedure. Luckily my great aunt thought it was all for show, bless her heart, but the rest of us were horribly aware that something was awry, amid hushed whispers and snickering. If possible, I'd like to commend the young man who correctly performed his duties respectfully and with poise despite the errors of the other party. I don't know who or where the "other guy" was from, so I don't think there's much to be said about that. Any thoughts?
